⚠️ Warning: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your learning progress, achievements, streaks, and data will be permanently removed.
📱 How to Delete Your Account (In-App)
You can delete your account directly from within the SpeakEasy app. Follow these steps:
- Open the SpeakEasy app on your device
- Go to Profile tab (bottom navigation)
- Tap on Settings (⚙️ icon)
- Go to Privacy & Security
- Tap on Delete Account
- Confirm your choice when prompted
- Enter your password for verification (if using email login)
📧 Alternative: Request via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email from your registered email address:
⏱️ What Happens After Deletion
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Learning progress, XP, coins, streaks, and achievements will be lost
- Quiz results and mock test history will be removed
- Your email address will be removed from our systems
- Data stored locally on your device will need to be cleared manually via app settings
📊 Data Retention Period
After you submit a deletion request:
- Immediate: Account access is revoked
- Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently erased from Firebase servers
- Backups: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before automatic purging
